Resources

Wood
8-16 Someone apparently chopped some wood and left it behind.

Ore
8-16 Someone apparently mined some ore and left it behind.

Crystal
3-7 Someone apparently put some crystals here. Yeah.

Gems
3-7 Someone apparently... lost some gems here?

Mercury
3-7 Someone apparently... Well... Poured some mercury into a cauldron and left it here. For some reason. Probably.

Sulfur
3-7 Someone apparently decided to make a neat little pile of sulphur right over here. However absurd it might sound.

Gold
600-1000 Someone apparently... Oh who cares, just take it and go read about dwellings or something!

Campfire
400 +4 resource
500 +5 resource
600 +6 resource
Someone apparently abandoned a perfectly good campfire. Which contains gold and resources. How... interesting.

Treasure
1000 or 500 exp
1500 or 1000 exp
2000 or 1500 exp
You can take the gold from this treasure chest, or you can give it to the peasants. But why would you do that, seriously?!

Dwellings
Dwelling Unit Cost Population Growth Description

House
peasants free 20-50 5-10 There is only one thing worse than free peasants, and that's peasants you have to pay for.

Log Cabin
peasants free 20-50 5-10 You know that horrible, horrible thing I just mentioned? Yes, have some more of that!

Cabin
archers free 1-4 1-4 Some free shooting units would sure prove useful early in the game. So guess what? You're getting only a few. Those who were worst at running away.

Straw Hut
goblins free 10-30 3-6 Free cannon fodder.

Log Cabin
dwarves free 1-3 1-3 A couple of free dwarves. What is anyone supposed to do with these? Well, the lava pit is patient.

Wagon Camp
rogues 50 30-50 3-6 So they are not only Zorro-exhibitionists, but also gypsies. Well, who are we to question their life choices?

Only useful very early in the game. Later only good for providing fast units for scouting heroes.

Tent
nomads 200 10-20 1-3 So, Arabic-looking guys on yellow horses live in desert tents... Who would have guessed?

Also good for scouting heroes. They are useful in battle a bit longer than the rogues.

Lamp
genies 650
+1
2-5 none You want these in your army.
Even if you don't, you can still give them to a secondary hero and get some use of them.
Even if you don't, you can still make suicide attacks with them in hope to destroy half of enemy stack.
And even if you don't want to do that, recruit them anyway, because you don't want the enemy halving your stacks!
At the start of the game each dwelling contains a number of creatures determined by a randomly chosen number from the range mentioned in the population column.

The amount of creatures in dwellings grows on the first day of each week by a randomly chosen number from the range mentioned in the growth column, unless there are already 100 or more creatures there. In that case the amount of creatures stay the same.

The lamp is an exception, as no growth occurs there. When all the genies are recruited, the lamp disappears.

Morale

Buoy
+1 morale A buoy! How awesome!

Oasis
+1 morale This one at least makes sense.

Statue
+2 morale This is a statue of one of the Ancients. I made that up, but seriously, why else would it give +2 to morale?

Luck

Fountain
+1 luck A lucky fountain!

Faerie ring
+1 luck A lucky faerie ring! With lucky mushrooms! Very lucky mushrooms!

Creature Banks

Cemetery
30% fight 5x2 ghosts for 1000
30% fight 5x3 ghosts for 2000
30% fight 5x5 ghosts for 5000
10% fight 5x10 ghosts for 2000 + artifact

Shipwreck
fight 5x10 ghosts for 2000 + artifact

Dragon City
fight 5 dragons for 1000 a day

Various

Gazebo
+1000 experience (for each visiting hero) An old knight who likes to hand out experience lives there. How nice of him.

Windmill
+2 random resource once a week
nothing if already visited that week
It rotates nicely.

Waterwheel
+1000 once a week
nothing if already visited that week
(500 in the first week of the game)
It also rotates nicely.

Daemon cave
30% pay 2500 or lose hero
30% 1000 exp
30% 2500 and 1000 exp
10% artifact and 1000 exp
Your hero fights a daemon so big and powerful, that the fight had to be done off-screen. But at least you won. Except for the times when you didn't. Too bad.

Skeleton
10% chance of finding a random artifact. Otherwise nothing. It's dead and ready to loot!

Lighthouse
+20 movement points per turn for all heroes onboard ships.
(+40mp for Sorceresses)
see movement
It's a house. There's a light on it.

Stone Lith
Teleports the hero to another stone lith. It defies all known laws of physics. It's fun.

Whirlpool
Teleports hero to another whirlpool, 1/3 chance of losing 50% (rounded down) of your weakest army stack. You spin me round

Obelisk
Uncovers part of the puzzle map. I love puzzles!
Especially those scattered around the countryside.

Shrine
Teaches a random spell. A skeleton of a wizard is imprisoned there forever!

Oracle
Shows player rankings.
(same as four thieves' guilds)
Very useful. Unless it's not.

Signpost
Does nothing really. Continues doing nothing.

Hole
Someone was digging for Ultimate Artifact here. Probably found a dead raccoon instead.
